About Me
Hi there. My name is Joanne and I’m glad you are taking the time to look at my page. I
appreciate the courage it takes to take the step into the world of counselling and I want to
reassure you that you don’t have to feel alone. You may be anxious or suffering low mood as
you read these words; you may be feeling stuck and not sure who to turn to for support.
Whatever may be going on for you, it can be really helpful to talk to a counsellor.
I am qualified Person-Centred Therapeutic counsellor and as a registered member of the
BACP, I work within their ethical framework to deliver counselling that is safe, professional
and accountable.
I have experience helping clients cope with a variety of issues including anxiety, low mood,
trauma, relationship dynamics, workplace conflict, low self-esteem, grief and confidence. I
am a firm believer that the client knows best and I will be right beside you as you talk
through whatever is bothering you in your life. I will treat you with respect, compassion and
kindness as well as being supportive but impartial – giving you the time and space to help
talk through your difficulties and hopefully allowing you to gain some insights which can help
you deal with life’s challenges and form happier relationships.
What I offer
I am part of a counselling practice Think Feel Talk which encourages and facilitates clients to
have the space to think, feel and talk in their own time. As a person-centred counsellor, I am
non-directive and empathetic and I will try to help you manage any changes you might want
to make in your life. By carefully listening and supporting you, I offer session which can help
you think about your life without making any judgement.
